Visually, the Tube Pilot definitely looks like the budget remake series and has huge hints to the Tube Driver by B.K.

I bought a few of the VT11 pedals to mod (as they were being sold off for a tenner each new) and when left as stock, they sounded terrible. The difference is that the Tube Pilot does not have an EQ section, only the Gain and Volume controls, making this pedal slightly different, but exactly how much difference, we aren’t sure yet.Ĭould it still be a VT911 though just without an EQ section? Let’s hope not, as they were bloody awful.

So is this a Behringer VT911 overdrive re-jigged? The pedal had already been used by Gilmour, Satriani, Bonamassa, J Mascis and many other great guitarists for their sound. Butler (also known as built by Tube Works, Chandler). I suspect by the reference “legendary” that they are hinting at the Tube Driver by B.K.

Played all the Dog's solos about 5 times in a row and couldn't believe how good it sounded with the rest of my rig.Tube Pilot is, according to TC Electronic, a “legendary tube overdrive” modelled, but then further developed by them. I just put the gain at 9 and the volume and tone controls around Noon or 1 O'Clock and it was about as perfect as I could ask for. I just got a Skeddy Pig Mine yesterday and I am very, very impressed. If you're really looking for a Gilmour "Solo" tone though (depending on era) as mentioned above, a Big Muff of some sort or a Fuzz Face style pedal would be more of what you are looking for. I never a/b'd the 2, but I did have a Keeley modded one which has a little more bass on them which might get you closer to what you are looking for. A Boss Blues Driver would also probably get you in that ballpark as well. I dialed them both with around the same gain and they were both very similar to my ears as far as the amount of gain and tonal characteristics, however the Tube Driver does have as mentioned a little more bass response.

We have opened a discussion thread in the Pub section discussing this. We will include a very detailed password checklist.īefore I sold them, I had a Tube Driver and a Fulltone OCD. We want to highly recommend that members turn on and use TGP's two-factor authentication option. We highly recommend every member reading this change their passwords as a precaution. We have forced email revalidation for all members that have not signed on for a while. None of the accounts compromised were using two-factor authentication. Talking to one member as I am working through getting his account back in order, he informed me that his Apple password manager had been compromised and made available on the dark web. In today's world, that is false confidence you can no longer afford.Įvery account that I've restored so far to the original owner was using compromised passwords. It is heartbreaking to see that the lure of saving some money will still fool people into using those methods to save a few dollars. Unfortunately, we cannot control how members do deals. However, the best way to prevent this is for members to exercise proper password hygiene (which I'll detail below), turn on two-factor authentication, and - I implore every single person here - only use payment methods that have buyer protection. We've made security changes that I don't want to detail here to stop them. They have scammed members in the Emporiums by creating ads with stolen photos and requesting Paypal F&F or Venmo exclusively for payment. Some fraudsters have compromised TGP accounts have in the past few days.
